The Abominable Tundra

A couple months ago I was contacted by the creator and author of the Grey Griffins book series, J.S. Lewis, to do a pin-up for his upcoming art book. Needless to say, I was both honored and excited to be asked. Initially, we talked about doing a piece based on the Dracula character from his series, but I was drawn (no pun intended) to a character the was on the cover from the 3rd book, The Fall of the Templar. When I asked him about it he said it was called the Tundra, loosely based on the Wampa from ESB, one of my all-time favorite creatures from one of my all-time favorite movies. So naturally I had to do my take on it. I had a great time working on it and I look forward to doing more in the future.

Here it is...

Joker is out for Blood!!!

I was probably the only person in the known universe to wait 2 months to watch The Dark Knght, but what can I say, I hate crowds. Anyway, after seeing it reminded me of this Joker sketch I never got around to finishing up. So here it is. Hope you like it.

King Thor Color

So I just got back from a weekend in Vegas with my boys. Yes, another one of my buddies finally takes the plunge into marriage. We had a great time, but obviously I didn't get any drawing done. So while recovering from post Vegas boredom I decided to take the time to finish this piece up in color (or as Simon would say colour). So this is dedicated to my homeboy Gaba! It was a fun weekend and I hope you liked it.

Street Fighter Tribute!

So my buddy Sean asked me if I'd be interested in doing a pin-up for the Street Fighter Tribute book. Needless to say I jumped at the chance to draw some of my favorite characters. Thanks to Sean for hooking me up and thanks to the guys at Udon for letting me join the party! Hope you like it.

Moon Knight Post It

I did this sketch after my buddies at work decided to add Moon Knight as the next character on our sketch challenge list. Because I've been so behind on the sketches I quickly did it on a post it. Since I didn't have a lot of time to devote to it, I mainly wanted to focus on my use of shapes and negative space so I wouldn't get caught up in details. It was a very different way of drawing for me and felt very liberating. Lots of fun! Hope you like it.

Joker Skeezetch

I've been trying to catch up to the homies at work on our sketch challenges. Here's my take on that wacky, misunderstood, homicidal maniac... Joker! Hope you like it!
